The Refinery Development Master Plan (RDMP) Balikpapan project is one of the National Strategic Projects (PSN) carried out by PT Kilang Pertamina International (KPI). This project is a crucial part of efforts to increase the processing capacity of oil refinery facilities in Indonesia, involving various technical, logistical, management, and other challenges.
The RDMP Balikpapan project was designed to enhance processing capacity from the initial 260 KBPD to 360 KBPD while improving the quality from Euro II to Euro V standards. The project included the construction of New Workshop & Warehouse, Residual Fluid Catalytic Cracking (RFCC) Feed Tank, Boiler, New Flare BPP II, FCC & FCC NHT, and Terminal Lawe-Lawe Facilities.
The main contractor for the RDMP project was RDMP Balikpapan JO, led by Hyundai Engineering and Construction. This decision was based on Hyundai’s track record in successfully completing large-scale projects worldwide and their commitment to high-quality standards and timeliness.
RDMP Balikpapan JO appointed PT Swadaya Graha as the subcontractor for the ME-03 Tank Installation package. In the execution of this project, PT Swadaya Graha collaborated with PT Azure Investama Grup, forming SwadayaRAYA to carry out the project worth hundreds of billion rupiahs. The SwadayaRAYA project team consisted of skilled professionals in their respective fields, ensuring the project ran smoothly and achieved outstanding results.
Completion of 13 OSBL Tanks This project successfully completed the construction and installation of a total of 13 large-capacity storage tanks, with the largest dimensions being 42 meters wide and 20 meters tall, constructed using the “Jacking” method.
